‘The Crown’ has ‘wrong perception’ of Camilla despite ‘loyalty’ to Charles

Queen Camilla still has tough times ahead, despite her loyalty to King Charles.

Ryan-Mark Parsons, known for his appearance on The Apprentice in 2019, shared his view with Express.co.uk that the newly crowned Queen is having a hard time despite her service to the Royal Family and her loyalty to the monarch.

After Netflix’s The Crown replayed Charles and Diana’s public divorce caused by his affair with Camilla, Parsons believes people have taken “history as gospel and think they are royal experts”.

“These people who watch the TV show think they know everything about the royals. I think this is a huge misconception. You can’t watch a show like The Crown and think you know everything about a family,” he explained.

“Yes, it’s public, it’s an institution, but it’s also a private family and it’s also been a private affair, in terms of the entanglements between King Charles, Princess Diana and Camilla. You can’t look at it and think you know everything.”

He added, “It’s also a difficult time for Camilla. She was very loyal to Charles. She is the Queen Consort now and has been a working king for decades.

He also took a look at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they step down from their senior royal roles in 2020 due to increased press scrutiny and issues with The Firm.

“He has actually been at King Charles’ side for two decades. I think it’s a great thing,” he said. “He doesn’t complain. It doesn’t explain. This is the mantra that every working member of the royal family should uphold.”

He also added: “I think it’s great. Unlike some members of the royal family, they don’t just give up and move to Montecito when the going gets tough.”
