Prince William made an appearance at Wembley’s FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United, via People magazine.

The Prince of Wales, 40 — who serves as president of the Football Association — greeted the players, the match official and the two coaches of both teams before kick-off on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Wembley in London.

Prince William’s greetings were even extended to player Marcus Rashford, who he had previously awarded the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in November 2021.

Rashford was recognized with the honor for his campaign to ensure no child in need went hungry, which forced the government to reverse the provision of free school meal vouchers to 1.3 million children in the 2021 summer holidays, through Daily Mail.

The royal, wearing a classic navy suit and striped tie, then joined the crowd for the national anthem and then to watch the game.

The match was won by Manchester City beating Manchester United 2-1.

Former footballer David Beckham also attended the event to watch with his son Brooklyn Beckham. The father-son duo looked awful as their beloved team lost. Beckham, 48, previously played for Manchester United.

A few days before the match, William and his wife Kate Middleton stepped out in Amman, Jordan for the wedding of Prince Hussein of Jordan and Rajwa Alsheif.
